Thank Heaven.....for Little Girls

Norman Rockwell, eat your heart out.

This little angel is the sister of the boy in the post below. She is just a sweetheart. She turns 2 next month, and her mom wanted some pictures taken. When she came into the studio, she was so proud of her pig tails, and so very excited to have her picture taken. That made the session so much fun. I'm going to take some of the pictures of each of them and put them into a 16x20 collage. It's going to be fantastic!

I didn't mean to make her cry

I do so love this picture. The blown highlights, and the extreme high key make him look like an Angel, which is the mood I was trying to achieve.

So, it turns out his mom teared up when she saw the pics. Thankfully, they were tears of joy, as his mom could see in the pictures the sweetness of his spirit. It's one of those cases where I'm proud to say, I can make a woman cry.

Hard to believe he is only 6 years old.

Little Kayla

Yesterday, I had one of the most fun, and sweetest sessions in a long time. The image above is of little Kayla, and she was just too cute.

The shot below is a good reminder to me why I got into portraiture in the first place. I absolutely enjoy the feeling of love, and the bond between mother and daughter in this shot.

One more (I'm a sucker for those little toes).
